As I was returning my car to the rental car company after the phenomenal Harmonic Wealth Weekend, I glanced at the windshield from the outside, and I noticed how filthy it was. I started to think how amazing it is that I never really noticed all those smudges and smears of dead bugs from the inside. Then I thought, “this is a perfect metaphor for intention.” As we go along the path to our goal, along come the obstacles, trying to hinder our view and our focus. If we are wise, we keep our focus and attention on our goal. When driving along the highway, let’s say we notice an especially big obstacle/bug, and we put our intention upon it. What do we do? First, we take our attention away from where it should be. We stop watching the road to our goal. Then, if we put enough attention on the bug/obstacle, it annoys us to the point that we hit the wipers, and maybe squirt a bit of water on them. What happens? By focusing on the obstacle and acting on the bug instead of our goal, we just smeared it all over our feild of view, making re-focusing on our goal just that much more difficult.
I see myself behind the wheel right now. As I mentioned before, my intention is to be at the “Creating Absolute Wealth” experience. I have already committed the lion’s share of my magical gift to being there. I now have to come up with the other half. I put that intention out there, and now I’m keeping my focus and driving forward. A few bugs have already hit my field of vision, but I’m keeping my eyes upon the path, the goal. Today, I got a call from my boss at my part time job, who frankly never seems to act as if she likes me very much, and has many times before offered others extra hours that were available well before she would ever call me. Today she offered me a week of extra work. I smiled and said thanks. First I thanked her, then, in my mind, and even more energetically to the universe and to this magic awakening. As James taught me, when I’m at peace and I let go, the energy flows! These extra hours are just another small step towards my intention of getting first to the Wealth experience, and then on to my ultimate financial abundance!
